The only issue i see here (which i may be wrong on) Is there any proof of what was agreed with the sale of the car? I am not calling the OP a liar but i would think to file theft he would need proof he bought the car with the top/shocks. IF the OP bought the car for asking price this is easy to prove since the ad states that is included. However if the deal was for any less, doesn't it just turn into he said/she said type of thing? Seller can just claim we negotiated the hard top out for a lower price. So i am wondering if OP has any proof (emails or texts) of the agreed price and the car was as is advertised vs as is with no top how he got it. It's easy for us on s2ki to look at it one sided as we are presented this ordeal but i don't see much factual evidence presented. If i am a lawyer or judge how do i know if lets say the OP paid 30k for the car, the deal the had agreed on in person is not 30k with no top/coils. I know I have personally sold Cars stating 10k as is or 8k without the wheels per say and had interested parties in both price points. So far i haven't seen any proof of this or a bill of sale etc.

I hope you guys reach an outcome and hopefully the owner of the business talks some sense into his employee to make things right either way.

I have been scammed before as well so i just happened to learn that even though you were in fact scammed etc proving it to make a resolution is a different story. So everyone needs to be careful and can't trust random people with big $$$.

Called back again: me: r u sure u don't?
This is paragon automotive industry? Ad clearly said it is,why don't take the list off if it's sold.
She: what kinda parts ?
Me: Honda s2000 hardtop n a set of used coilovers.
Lady: wait , ask something saying in Chinese, n pick up n say no no no no. Hang off.

It's been 7 years since I had my 07 but I felt compelled to just let you know this is worth pursuing ..I believe you do have a case. You've done the first part (forum) next part is to take it to court .... Allow this to be the example for people who believe they can do this .. I'm sure most would agree that typically people really don't want any confrontation(physical or legal or etc) make this as difficult as possible for him and make him regret that he did this for some suspension and a hardtop, and lugnuts maybe .. you never know, maybe this leads to something bigger (he may have a prior, or he may be illegal ..or he may be doing similiar things to other people ) you never know .. bad people who do low level stuff like this tend to lack over arching vision of cause and effect - anyway I'm sorry this happened -best of luck , run him down with whatever time and resources you have ....

Lon, can you confirm that the seller of the S2000 was indeed a manager at this shop? Does anyone have info on the shop/business owners take on his employee's actions?
