I almost beat a Lamborghini Gallardo!
In a car show that is 
. Ever since I got my S, once a year I make a point to go to a car show with my step-dad who has an award-winning 1967 Ford Fairlane XL. Usually we go to Red Bank NJ but this year we went to McAdoo PA (my parents live in PA). Of 250+ cars (mostly American muscle) there were only a handful of cars in my class, "import sports cars 1989 and newer". So out of nowhere this guy in a Gallardo pulls in, my first thought was "Awesome!", a minute later my second registered "Shit! He's in my f-ing class!". Well he won first place and I won second but it should've been the other way around. The judging isn't supposed to go by what kind of car you have. He had dirt in his engine jamb, whereas royalty could eat from mine. Plus when I show my S I have the original window sticker, a fact sheet, and a 2006 dealership brochure as my presentation with the car, he didn't have any of that. Anyway it was still a fun time and I wanted to share.

Thanks, guys! Cleanliness is one of the key things the judges look for on their judging sheets and I know my car can't be too much cleaner than it already is! For shows like this I'm proud to have a car that's completely stock (other than my tires and race pads but they don't need to know that). It sucks the judges were blinded by the Lambo but I'm not really upset about it. And there's no doubt it's a great automotive education. Other than our two cars, my favorites were a black 1970 Dodge Challenger (mint cond.) and a dark green 1941 Chevy Pickup with red pinstripes it had some "patina" which was cool.
