Default How does one know when there diff is going?

I was wondering how anyone might know when there diff is on its way out. My car has quite a few miles and when under hard excelleration you can feel a slight vibrating in the rear... Not sure if its because my car is lowered and I need those J's Drive shaft spacers or if the diff is going.. BTW the diff has fresh Royal Purple oil..

Thanks....

Your inner CV's are shot.

You can swap the CV's from side to side (just the inner CV bucket, not the whole axle) and it will be good as new.

Trust me

But to answer his question in the subject line you'll know when you hear either a high pitch wine or a loud clunk at all speeds, although it gets louder as you put load on the diff.

Do you hear the whine all the time or just in turns?

Thanks guys im probably going to take Billman's advice and swap the inner CV's.. Would The J's racing axel spacers help to prevent this?

Yes you will
Since the ring and pinion gear are always engaged whether turning or going straight line. Just that if you are going 5MPH turning you might not hear it unless your diff is really shot
