Default how do you sand down caliper?

Hi guys~
Before summer is over, i would like to paint my caliper.
And i saw people grind down caliper to have smoother surface, how do you
exactly do it? with what kind of tools?

What would be the best procedure to get smooth and shiny calipers?

Thanks in advance.

The best way is to remove the calipers, sand with a Dremel, paint with G2 and reinstall. Yields the best results, but it's a ton of work.

Sure, you just can't get to all the areas of the caliper though. Taking mine off and grinding/sanding the whole calipers is on my list of to-do items, but not very high on the list. Now that I think of it, if you're going to go thru the trouble to remove the calipers, you might as well have them powdercoated instead of painted with G2.

Wire wheel on the end of a cordless drill and maybe a bench grinder w/ a wire wheel also. Or if you have a decent Dremel......

Don't go cheap on the paint or your calipers will look like my before pictures after some track events.
