He drilled the studs off the hub and the remaining lug was just removed. Then he put new studs in. The man is a mechanical wizard

Studs were drilled from the front, dead center. same size as the OD of the stud threads...so when you reach the right depth, the lug has nothing to hold and pops right off. Basically making the stud disappear.

Then the front hub-shaft has to be pulled for stud replacement.
