Oh i don't have I/O cable Dan too expensive for cable already heh.
I got almost a 90 dollar bill with family cable and internet.
If you think about it that's over 1k a yr for services.
Online used to be a great price at $29.95 until they bumped it to $44.95 a month.
Good thing we have 3 users in the house using it.
If it was just me alone... i might try and find a cheaper solution.

I had cablevision internet service for 3 years...Its gone out maybe 3 times since Im a subscriber. My boss used Verizon DSL and was cursing them out everyday to me. He finally switched to cable and to him its the best thing since sliced bread.
Cable TV plus internet is gettinge expensive...my bill is like 100 bucks a month. Why bother to switch to digital? Its more of the same crap....with still nothing to watch. Thank God for the Simpsons and Seinfeld reruns.

I have Optimum Online for my Internet access and it routinely pulls down about 4500 Kbps download speeds. My dad has Comcast Internet and he never gets better than 2000 Kbps. And he had DSL before this, and it was slow, when it worked, which wasn't often.
If you can get Optimum Online, do it. You won't be sorry.

im another with optonline. i went from verizon dsl (slow) to road runner (slow - pipe would get bogged down in my area quickly). now that i live up here in the great white north (rockland), i cant believe how fast my cable modem is. i've even started to host my own servers
its too bad that cablevision i/o crap sucks compared to time warner's digital cable.. i guess you cant get the best of both worlds, but if i were to choose one, it'd be optonline rather than cable!
that reminds me.. why dont i get the golf channel on cablevision???

I work for Verizon , I only have DSL because of my discount. I have a 1.5 DSL line. This is the highest residential service Verizon offers. While they may promise a speed of 1.5 , actual run speed is much slower, due to attenuation and copper capabilities. Cable is much faster up and down .
Just ask BKW for the modem hack , have your fire extinguisher ready
