Having some fun ...
OK so I'm sure like many, if not all of you - my friends, oh how I love them, can be the biggest ball busters I know. From day 1 of getting my S it's been one Miata comment after another, culminating recently when one of my boys came across that "Mazda Miata: When the Rainbow Sticker doesn't show who you REALLY are" pics and sent it to pretty much everyone I know.
As much as I try to legitimize how incredible the car drives and everything else that makes the S special to me - and to all of us, I still feel as I'm losing the battle.
Moving right along to the point of this thread - I had a little fun last week and flipped the speedo to kmH then ran it up to 163 and took a pic on my cell phone, sent it out to my buddies with the topic "Miata huh?". Haven't heard any bullshit since
Comment as you wish, just remember the topic is "Having some fun".

Nicely done bro my friends use to make fun of my car too. They also you to bust my balls hard core about going to meets. They always where like what are you doing tomorrow, going to your gay car club meet. Its been awhile now so I don't hear it much anymore. But I used your trick once too. and after a few highway pulls and letting them
take it for a drive. They started to show the S2000 the respect it deserves. How about letting them drive it. I haven't meet anyone after driving an S2000 that didn't like it.

I did that to my friend Mark on the belt parkway. He saw the speedo go up from 97 to 172 in a flash. Dude was yelling for his life, grabbing the soft top frame, his seatbelt etc. I LOLd at this expense.

My friends ex wife calls it my "little girls" car all the time, it doesnt help I came from a white Prelude. The thing is most men know what it is or even if they dont they naturally assume its fast (rightfully so!) but 99% of the women say its "cute".
