Default going to remove my window tape

i've finished my classes and have spare time to work on my car so i been debating on the removal of the window tape for a while now and finally decided it's time to take it off. Has anyone in the metro done it and have any good tips on how to make this an easier process and not a headache. I was thinking of using a heat gun to make it easier but any other recommendations will be appreciated, thanks.

i would look at other threads before removing it. there could be damage under there. apparently on some s2ks, honda sanded down rough spots before they applied the tape. you can get lucky and have it be perfect, or can get unlucky and have a few rough spots. if you want to remove it, use a heat gun and start at the bottom corner of either side and slowly work your way around the windshield frame.

yes i'm aware of the consequences of the piece being sanded down but that can be fixed later by getting it painted but im hoping for the best. Is it sanded down so bad it cant be buffed out?

def. use a heat gun and go slow around the rubber molding around the windshield so pieces dont rip and get stuck under the molding. its a pain getting under there to start a piece of the tape. u could use goo gone sparringly to get any adhesive residue off and claybar it if necessary afterwards.
