That shipping quote sounds about right to me. I know it costs me $200 to ship a fujitsubo exhaust for the S2K to me from the distributor in Cali. I thought it was rediculous at first, but thats the price.

You do realize that you are talking about a dual exhaust compared to a single right? I've seen the box for a Spoon it's about half the size of the Fuji. I told you guys from the beginning that the boxes are huge and shipping was going to be expensive. Did you ask them to try to combine the exhausts into two boxes?

Each box is 65 pounds, 6.5 FEET LONG, 3 FEET WIDE, and 14" thick....lil bigger than a single or some speakers.

Eliot..thanks for the tip, I will give it a try....

I don't think Eliot's guy is going to be that much cheaper if at all. Think about the distance from here to VA compared to California to NY. For example you can go to BaxGlobal.com and plug in the dimensions, I'd bet it'll be over $200 a box.

Not arguing either, just saying that the way shipping seems to work is they take the size more into account then the actual weight. If you send a huge box that has a bumper which weighs 20lbs. Then send the same size box that weighs 80lbs they will charge you nearly the same. Weight isn't as big an issue as total size. My dad does shipping all day long for his video business and the one thing that seems apparent is that shippers have raised prices a lot recently due to the higher gas prices. No harm in shopping around, obviously that's why BP is giving him the option. Remember I sold about 25 of these exhausts in the last year for BP and the prices for shipping has always been in the $125 to $150 range before the jump in gas.
