Smile FML. Roads leading to my house got that gravel

Man I'm pissed. Both ways by my house now got that horrible method where they spray tar and then take a dump truck and dump gravel everywhere for it to be pressed in after a while of driving on it. Takes months I think. So now I gotta deal with flying rocks everywhere!!
Man I hate that method of paving!! Must just be tons cheaper or something..
They did one way of it a month or so ago and still seems just like the one that was done today. Wonder how long it takes until the little gravel is no longer loose.

Yeah I have no idea why they do that shit.

Usually, it's gone in days anyway -- leaving behind rocks everywhere

Where I grew up in PA they did that a lot. It's a really stupid method. Not only does it mess up cars, the treatment doesn't last very long on the road. Wait a week or two and go for that detail job from Andrew Big A.

worst thing is that these contractors are barely scrapping the top layer of asphalt and putting another layer that appears way to thin to last any longer than a few months/season. I don't ever remember seeing roadways this bad in NYC/surrounding counties.
