No, you still leave the plastic fender lining in tact when you roll the fronts. When I rolled mine the plastic clips were long gone from rubbing (going up and down my driveway), but I still have my fender liner in there, but now the lip has been rolled onto itself into a "U" shape. It gives a little more clearance, but the important thing is that even if it does rub in the future it won't be able to pull out my fender again or cut the tire.
