I got my S from VA and since there was already a lien involved (AHFC) and I financed the car with Chase, it was a nightmare figuring out all of the title and registration stuff. I drove the car back to NJ with the seller's VA plates, FedEx'd the plates back to him and then had to wait 3 weeks before I could drive the car again because the title had to be processed from AHFC in DE, to the State of VA, who sent to Chase in TX, who then sent it to NJ so I could register the car.

Also don't be afraid to walk away. It was only after I got my S home for the first time did I notice that it had some paint work done before. Nothing major but it was upsetting nonetheless.

Good luck!!!

The ad says clear title in hand, which definitely helps.

I used to hang out at a body shop, I am pretty good spoting body work, not perfect by any means but the carfax is clean so I'm pretty sure the car has been kept in good condition.

Not afraid to walk away. If anything I'm more leery about this car since the starting price seems on the lower side.

I used to work at a body shop in college (for a Chevrolet dealership) and thought the same thing. But after battling traffic on the 3+hr ride down there, I wasn't on top of my game. Whatever it was never showed up on the CARFAX. Anyway, in my case, I've had to show all but one person who has seen my S where it was repainted, so it must've been a decent job.

You're lucky he's got the title. That makes things SOOO much easier for you.

Well the virgina car is gone. I posted in the VA section and someone there made the comment "my window was a very short one".

Should have kept my mouth shut lol.

Ah well.
