exhaust tubing?
i have a cut downpipe because the person before me had a custom exhaust so now i need to get whatever test pipe of whatever welded on.
now can i just get 3 inch exhaust tubing and weld it to the down then weld it to whatever exhaust i get? cuse i dont want to but a nice test pipe and just cut it up and weld it to the down pipe or would that be better to use? idk and can the tuner use the o2 bung from the down pipe. just looking for some options cuse i dont really know what to do right now.

I won't you I'll be helpfull.
Your best bet will to take the downpipe you have and cut the tubing off the flange that bolts to the turbo. Then just have a shop bend you a new piece of 3" 304 stainless and weld on 2 o2 sensor bungs then weld that to the 3 bolt flange that is usually at the end of the cat. If you don't have a flange find someone with an OEM exhaust and use the flange from that bored out to 3."
If you want to go the cheap rout just get 3" 304 stainless and weld to the same flange and other end to what's remaini g of the downpipe. You could also cut the flange off of the exhaust you buy and just make the whole system a 1 piece.

[QUOTE=scottieboy561,Dec 13 2008, 10:39 PM] ok so bassicly you want me to cut of the flange from the downpipe then have a custom 3' downpipe welded to where the other downpipe connected to the turbo. weld the old flange from the original downpipe to the end of the new downpipe then connect a test pipe/ gutted cat to a exhaust?
