if you run the car for a minute or two the bolts come off easier when they're warm, or just get a pipe

oh trust me, I know. I have about 3-4 perminant scars on my knuckles from when my hand slipped off those when I sprayed them down with silicone spray

Before attempting anything else, try loosen the three bolts from the cat.
If you could get them off, everything else is time consuming, but won't
cause any down time with the car. First time installer, I would say it'll
take you two hours to install the exhaust without a lift.
