this e-mail looks suspicious.
I just received a e-mail from "service@paypal.com" with title, "Account flagged". with paypal logo (which you can copy from paypal site), it looks legitimate but within content, the link "please click here." is directed to "ht tp: //83.148.101.124/ www.paypal.com/ us/cgi-bin/". (I've inserted blank so no one clicks on it.) hmmm.... IP address, 83.148.101. 124 is pointing to fiber-124. wisp-bg. evro. net.
I didn't click the link but unless paypal verifies it, I think it's very suspicious.

I get stuff like that alot, you can report it to paypal. I dont think they do anything about it though. Dont click it, but go log on to Paypal and see if your account is still active.

Folks, this is an attempt at what is called "phishing". It is an attempt to send you to an official looking web site to authenticate your account by entering your credit card information, etc. It is not what it may appear to be at all, this is an attempt to steal your credit information!
If you get an email like this, you should report it to your ISP and they should prosecute the sender, since this is a crime.
Any official request will ask you to log into your account, like normal and verify your information. They will not send you to a web site to do this.
This is very serious stuff, it's called identity theft among other things. Be very careful.

don't be surprised if Paypal freezes or partially suspends your account for having reported this hoax attempt to retrieve information from you. When I reported/forwarded a similar email to theit attention my payout priviledges were suspended and I had to go through a security re instatement process - it was a bit of a PITA for just rying to do the right thing.
Happy Holidays.
