do not use the shop that the insurance company recomends. they will most likely cut as many corners and do the worst job as possible (think about it they have business deals with the guys paying for your car to get fixed so they don't care about you or your car). you have every right to take your car to whatever body shop you choose and since you got rear ended you shouldn't even have to pay your deductable as long as the lush that hit you has insurance. imprtant for you to recover your loss: did the police show up and fill out a report and did they brethalize and give the guy a dui or dwi??? I hope this helps and good luck.

thanks guys.
i am aware that i can have the car repaired wherever i choose. it is just tough shopping when the car is not in a condition to be driven from shop to shop. and A LOT of the folks in that industry are just hungry for the $$$$, and many are of questionable integrity.
local honda dealer got cute with me when i would not divulge insurance info or what was offered. none of their bussiness! the slimeballs want every penny and more.
was rear ended by a young lady who was two and one half times over the legal limit for dwi. she was arrested at the scene. 100% liability on her and her insurer. still my vehicle will never be the same, and it will diminish its equity when sold if a carfax is run.
nothing but aggravation, and a rented kia!
the whole thing sux!!!
