Default Clutch leak?

Got in my car yesterday morning to head out to work and the clutch was lower then normal and I couldnt get into gear. Took it around the block and the car just wouldnt get into gear. Had to shut off the car a couple times just to get it into revese just so I can put it back into the garage. I was already running late for work so I didnt even have a chance to take a look at the car

Came home from work yesterday and noticed that my clutch fluid was empty. This would be the second time in 2 months or so that I have had to fill the container with clutch fluid. Tried to search for a similar issue but couldnt find much info. Is my clutch master cylinder done? Common problem for 2000 ap1? Any information would help. Thanks guys.

check for clutch fluid on the carpet in the footwell underneath your clutch pedal.

I would check the inside of your car for leakage. It is common for the clutch master cylinder to fail.

sounds like the clutch master cylinder needs to be replaced. check for leaks inside the car near the clutch pedal. even look for drops underneath your car where you usually park. if it took 2 months, then its a slow leak.

I remember Billman posting a way to prevent failure is to bleed the clutch more regularly.

Make sure to clean that up good, and be careful. Brake fluid eats paint like acid
