Car got keyed n a cut on softtop~~
ok guys.
i got my car keyed everywhere n a 5 inches cut on my soft top, on last wednsday night. i don't know if it's in where i work at or where i lived.
here is the thing, i worked in Montclair NJ. after i got off at work at around 10pm, i picked up the car in the back municipal parking lot, i didn't notice anything at that time, than on my way home to South orange, i passed by somewhere irvington i went in to one of the 24HR walgreen for around a moment.
than i went home, but i got home ealier than brother in law, that night so i got to park my car outside the house n wait till him get's home first, cause i wake up early in the morning, so i need to let him park his car in first.
so i parked outside my house which is across the street than went inside to the house for a little around 30 minutes till my brother got home, he called me to info me that his home, so i went outside try to get my car in, than i notice a deep cut on the softtop, so i imidiately turned on my flash light on my cell phone, i look around n saw freaking keyed marks, every panel .
damn~~~
i called cop, cop got here within a few minutes ,reported n i just drop off my car in my buddy's collision shop, hope he can fix everything for me.
i was going to get some paint fix on my front bumper n rear quarter ,and now this things happened to me what a shame.
i had 1k detuctable .
wonder if any of u got any advice or things to share with me about these kinda insurance claims.

damn, leo, sorry to hear man.
if you can, get the soft top back from the shop. you can recoup some of that $1000 you have to shell out. the latches sell for $100 for the pair, the rubber seals sell for $50 for all of them and then you can sell patches and make $100-$150 off those. ive done it with 3 or 4 tops in the past. all of those parts sell well on here. if you dont have the time or the room to do it, i'll help you. just shoot me a text when you have the soft top back.
