it looks like they spray painted that caliper.... got some on the car as well.

MAKE SURE IT's HIGH TEMP. Rebuilding calipers is a LOT of work. I also grinded mine down, took all the casting marks off and all the lettering.

Paint the calipers with some thing like G2 caliper paint, available from tirerack.com, and possibly buy the centric rotors with the black coating on the hub portion.

I painted mine silver to match the origional color, but just make them look new. Came real nice!
