i dont have a cat i have the comptech header and invidia 70mm test pipe with the stock exhaust
If you're running a test pipe, you are more likely to see burning oil, As the cat will usually burn that up.

BTW, what happened with your 4 engines?

i had this problem with my first S. on accelerating it would smoke and i had the invidia 70mm test pipe and exhaust. i had a compression and leak down test done it turned out i wasnt holding compressing in 3 out 4 cylinders and my piston rings were shot. wound up re-building the head just to crash the car a month later.

Blue smoke usually indicated coolant not oil. Oil is a yellowish/brown tint smoke 99% of the times

No.

anyways, ever since I installed my test pipe under load the car puffs out a little blue smoke, it's been doing that since 50,000 miles when I bought it and now it has 90,000. NO problems..compression fine.

this kid right here editing copiously. Oil burn is more likely in higher mileage / older cars. So in theory ur test pipe makes ur car puff out blue smoke?! Or could it be that the car always did that and the cat filtered it out, one would think.
