Hi Billman, we missed you at Jose's S2K drive a few weeks back... Here's an off the wall question that I would have asked you in Wendy's parking lot: ;-)
Last year the cat was rattling badly on my '06. Seems that the honeycomb decapitated the O2 sensor. I've since replaced the cat with a BerkHPC, and the exhaust with a Revel, but I got to wondering.... Would it have been possible to "fix" the cat by driving several screws through the body into the honeycomb, freezing it into place? Would that stop it from rattling around, and thereby no longer breaking the sensor? Plausible? or am I assuming something with my lack of knowledge of the internal cat workings that just isn't feasible? See you next time around!
