Best way to visit NYC from Virginia Beach?
Hello from Mid-A S2ki ....
I was wondering what the best way to get to NYC from VA Beach. I'll prolly wanna stay up there for 2 days or so. Ive heard about ppl just going to D.C. and taking the metro up there. is this ideal? i do have another car other than the S2k.
on another note, what to do there for a couple of 19 year olds? anything that i "must see" for a first timer?
and lastly ... i dont have all the money in the world. any suggestions on a place to stay?
thanks for the info!

most ppl who come to the big apple come for our broadway shows and different cuisines to taste and also the nightlife we have out here so if u're interested in that, definately try these out!

I drove to VA beach and took the DC way (95). But I choose this route b/c I needed to stop over in Fredricksburg to meet a friend. This way is not the best by any means. A group of friends met us in Va Beach and they took a diff way....they drove through all of deleware and they seemed to cut a great deal of driving time. If you would like I can ask them the exact directions PM me if you need them.

NYC has everything two 19 year olds could want. If you like music, there are concerts every night. Buy a copy of the Village Voice to see whats going on in town the week you will be here. Also sidewalk.com has a great section on where to eat, best clubs etc.

My last suggestion for travelers on a budget, would be to buy Lets Go New York
its designed for young travelers on a budget, and tells you everything you need to know from, what neighborhoods to stay away from, to where you can get a cheap hotel room that is safe. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearc...312319932&itm=9
Have fun!
