I can tell you from experience that a good shop is going to recommend you just buy a new bumper (depending on how torn up yours is from rocks/bugs/etc). More often than not, it's cheaper to buy a new one and have it sprayed than it is to have the bumper prepped and painted.

Paint alone (with MINOR prep) is going to run you $350 or so. Paint + new bumper is going to run you $550-600 depending on the hookup you can get on the bumper.

Shave is going to run another $50-150 depending on how much you have shaved.

^^ and those prices...that's exactly what my bodyshop guy quotes me (he and I are on good terms, and I can pretty much estimate how much any bodywork I want done is going to run... I'm on my 3rd or 4th front bumper for the year...)

Phill can get you the hookup on parts. Last time I ordered through him, he had my parts (3 body panels) in, what, 2 days or so...

^^ I get the VIP treatment...

Last time I called, the convo went something like this:

Me: "Hey Paul, it's John with the S"

Paul: "Hey John, how's it going?"

Me: "Oh, you know how it is..."

Paul: "What body panels can I repair for you today?"

Sadly, half of those bumpers were damaged when the S was parked...

Which one, I was thinking of going to Branning, on 33 East, they do really good work, who were you thinking?
That's the shop I was going to recommend. They've done all the painting work on my car. Always came out 100% perfect
