Default Anyone a NYC realestate broker?

I need to move into Manhattan so I can be closer to work, and its been a PITA trying to find an affordable studio that isn't in the ghetto. I am looking for something like this: UES listing on craigslist (this one has already been taken) I have ruled out anything over 90th and I do no want to live in BK. Hoboken is still an option!

Nice place.

I know it's apples to oranges but that's a mortgage payment around here in the Lehigh Valley.

Cobble Hill is nice in Brooklyn, and it's on the subway line to Manhattan (don't ask me which one, a cousin of mine lives there.).

Rent is at an alltime high in NYC. Buying is good, but renting is a nightmare. My girlfriend just spent 3 months looking for a place. A studio will run you about $1800 with a broker (remember the broker fees) or $2000-$2100 without a broker.
