Anyone in or near brooklyn with a welder?

I need to weld 2 pieces of stainless steel together. It's about a 1/2 inch thick in diameter.

Does anyone in the area have a welder that could help me out with this?

my friend works as a mechanic in a shop. Perhaps he can charge you something dirt cheap to weld something.
