Anyone know how oil pressure would go way up?
Something weird is going on. Well always is with my car but usually the oil pressure was around 10-15 at idle. I have not changed the oil or anything. Now at idle even in these ridiculously hot days the oil pressure at idle after driving for a good while is above 20 psi. Used to dip down around 10.
What could have changed to cause this? I like the pressure now but just concerns me that it changed like that. Crusing oil pressure seems to be about the same though 70-80.
Any ideas??

I mean it's possible of course. Cruising rpm's seem to be about the same though. Just idle changed.
I'm not talking about the wideband. That's a whole different story lol.
Would have thought my engine would have blown already if it was running that lean though but try to not get on it much. Couldn't resist last week had to do a couple pulls with a turbo 350z and motor didn't blow. Was running really lean though.
Oil pressure issue is brand new. I am fine with it as it makes me worry less. Just hope it is not up from something breaking haha.

Well it is a crappy glow shift one. I had the oil pressure sender go bad before but just showed super low oil pressure then. Cruising is the same as before leading me to believe the sender didn't go bad or anything since only the idle oil pressure seems to have changed.

i wouldn't worry about it, just use the oil pressure gauge to make sure there is no drop in oil pressure while cruising, so you could save your motor from a spun bearing.

Well yeah that is what I use it for but just weird it would jump up so much all of a sudden. Been around 10 even before I was supercharged. Now all of a sudden jumped up to where most seem to say theirs is at idle.

hahah. How can I resist a turbo 350z lol? He kept getting a jump as I was a bit nervous to just slam it wot in vtec but then I would stop his pull each time. So must have been a base bolt on turbo kit I am guessing.
