you pretty much summed it up, and probably answered your own question.

I really like playing around with the iPhone, I just can't believe how it doesn't do certain things well.

Ahh

My parent's deductible must be at least $500 or $1000 though

I also have renters insurance (technically I rent my parent's house at $0 ) and that deductible is $500, so that doesn't work.

that's correct DEV no insurance on them...hehe
WRONG!! You can get insurance on it you HAVE to buy it through Best BUy though and it's best buy insturance.

$15 a month!!!

Apple also does have a 1 year warranty on it they are fairly leanient when it comes to repairs/ 1 replacement.

Honestly the only thing i don't like about the iphone is the price of the plan. Unless you have a family plan its expensive at
Sorry I'm not on balla status like most of metro

Iphone sucks, imo, i hate it, i'd rather get the new blackberry storm from verizon
I'm in the market for a phone right now and my main choices are iphone, g1, and storm.

I tried out the storm yesterday at the verizon wireless store: Sent and received calls was fine, screen takes a little getting used too with the click action but it's very accurate from what a experienced. You just CANNOT type fast. You physically have to click the screen down for each letter and the software limits how fast you can type since it doesn't recognize all the screen clicks.

Other than that, the browser was incredibly slow, and actually FROZE on me in the store

The stores response to that was "well we don't have the updates for the phone installed yet." So i asked how do i get said updates, and they told me they haven't even been released yet!... WTF!
