Would the driver of the Ferrari have pushed his car past his own limits if the other driver had not been racing him and therefore encouraging/egging the Ferrari driver to drive faster?
if u choose to push ur car beyond ur limits then its ur own fault. You cant say someone made me do it. What are you 5yrs old? We are adults.

I'm not trying to say I do no wrong. Just like I said, if you're going to play the game then be prepared to face the consequences of doing so. In this case, the 2nd driver is possibly guilty of manslaughter (innocent till proven). If he was indeed engaged in street racing with the Ferrari driver, then he's guilty of manslaughter.

I hope this is a wake up call to all the guys on the forums that street race. If you want to see who's faster, take it to the track. Driving fast/hard by yourself =/= street racing.

what about driving spiritedly, ie going on the dragon? If you crash into someone, or someone crashes because you are following them, would that be considered street racing or careless driving?

oh please, if the guy in the ferrari didnt have an ego he would still be walking the earth. i hate to sound insensitive, but if im racing and i feel im at a speed that makes me uncomfortable i slow down and give the thumbs up. i dont have to show how big my balls are because i can be stupider on the road. i wouldnt blame it on the other guy if i got into an accident, it was my own stupidity.

opinions will be opinions, no point in trying to sway it.. but for debates sake i guess

Oh, so because I drive spiritedly and have had an accident, my views on street racing are null and void? Gotcha. BTW, the accident wasn't due to spirited driving, I was being careless and didn't stop in time (I've never denied that I was at fault, just that it was a crappy situation).

Lets ask some of the forum members who have totaled cars by street racing.

And lets be realistic guys, there's a difference between all out street racing and driving spiritedly.
