What made you get rid of the in dash setup? I have been looking for someone who can do a clean install for one in my S!

It was perfect until someone broke in to the car in my drive way. They must have gotten chased away in the middle of breaking in. They were only able to pull out the screen and left. They damaged the dash when they pulled out the screen. I replaced the screen with a new bezel and all but it was never the same. The area around the screen always bubbled up and bezel never stayed in. I got pretty sick of staring at it. My head unit also have a 3.5" screen. The reason of me adding on a 7" stand alone screen was so i can run navi and movies at the same time. I never used the big screen otherwise. So now , I found a neater and a better way of going at it. I had the guy rewire the 7" screen and now i keep it between the seats. So if i m on a road trip like going to dragon or something, my passenger can just pull the screen out and enjoy the movies right on their lap. I won't have to worry about ruining the dash anymore either. Now you get the idea? lol

Ah damn that blows. Think I remember seeing your post when that happened. I gotta find someone to do an install for me. Been wanting this for a long time now. There was a guy in Florida who did some perfect installs! Wish I had gotten it done when I still was living down there.

good luck man. it was nice when it lasted lol. I m gonna miss it for sure. Ray cut the dash for me and Jose did the installation. I am sure Ray would cut it for you but since Jose retired, you might have to find someone else for wiring
