3M Clear Bra Install
My brother just bought a new 2009 Civic Sedan. He is in Jersey City and his prior car took a beating with the street parking. The bumpers (front & rear) were scratched to sh!t. He does not want really want to deal with those 'bumper badgers' devices. I suggested a 3M clear bra.
A couple of questions . . .
1) Is the 3M Clear Bra a good application in this situation? Will it protect from people doing the bumper car parking routine?
2) If yes, does anyone know an installer in Hudson or Bergen county?
3) Any thoughts on cost? I don't think he is looking for a full package (hood, mirrors, doors), just the front & rear bumper.
4) Is this a DIY project? If yes, how could I get started?
Thanks in advance.
Michael

it is mainly for stone chips, no necessarily going to protect when someone rubs up against you. my .2 cents...

I considered it several times but still haven't put one on. I don't think it will protect you too much from bumper scrapes but what do I know. I'm sure there are a couple of guys here with it on there car. But it's kinda hard to flush them out.
