Default 2007 RS4

I went for a ride in the RS4 (420hp v8) today.

the car is beautiful inside and out and it looks very muscly.
So we went for a ride and it was ok. I actually expected more from the car.
From the getco the car just seems to be not as fast as it should. But when the RPM's climb to 5K it starts to go pretty strong all the way to 8K I believe the redline is. I asked the owner if he had the Honda VTEC technology as it defenitely felt just like that but the owner me ( )
I mean the car was pretty fast though but not what I expected. Maybe it's the fact that I am used to the power of my car so the RS4 does not feel as fast.

Now the car only has 1,700miles on it. The owner did say to me that on the forums, they say that when the motor turns 3K miles, that after that it feels as if someone came and tweeked it for a lot more power without you knowing about it.

I dont know, how true that is, but maybe someone that has had experience w/ this car can shed some light....?

to the untrained eye, it looks like any other Audi A4. Nothing to special about it. for $70 grand you can get something nicer.

420hp in something that's 3500lbs. power/weight ratio isn't that great either.

Oneezy if you're thinking about getting something else and not even bothering to hook it up. Get this, and you too can spank Gallardos all day long.

I do love the Z06 but like you said about the RS4, to the untrained eye, a Z06 looks just like a C6. maybe the rims are different and the badges and few other body lines, but the to me they all look the same pretty much.

I love my S too much :-). I actually told him that I wanna race him on low boost when my car is back online.

He is actually the same guy that I called out to race that owns the the sl65(605HP) but he chickened out. Actually his father owns the Sl65.

i think its too expensive for a 4 series audi.
I remember watching an episode of Top Gear and it talked about the rs4. it seemed like it had a real nice beefy exhaust note to it.

I've sat in this Imola Yellow RS4 in the Audi showroom on Park Ave in Manhattan. I was very impressed with the car, interior, exterior, everything.

For $60K + I think they should have gave the car a Turbo'd V8....

aside from that I'd try to get a 07+ Z06

A friend of mine bought an RS4 about 6 months ago. After everything was said and done he paid closer to 80k for the car. Apparently they marked them up pretty heavily when they first came out. I don't know if they still do now that it's been out for a little while.

I must say the car is sick......... but I couldn't see myself paying that much for that car.

True, but a C6 Vette embodies what a real sports car should be. 2 doors and 2 seats, RWD. It has the look. The RS4 doesn't.
but the S does

my dad has an '07 s4, and that thing has one of the nicest stock exhausts i've ever heard. I couldnt imagine what the rs4 sounds like!

They definitely have the understated look, which i definitely love, with only the bulstered ribs at the bottom of the car, and those brush aluminum side mirrors and those quad exhausts.
