springs are cool but you need to ride in a car with coilovers before you make a purchase.

Yea........I should..

I rode in......er drove Jerrys old S with the espilers (which is what I would probably go for if I got springs) so i should probably try to get a ride in the new one

From someone who has had both springs and coils what would be the main difference in the ride if you had to explain it?
I understand from a track perspective coils>springs but what type of annoyances or flaws will someone on the street notice? Do you think you could tell if a car had coils just by riding in it?

I DO want coilovers........but I guess i was trying to save a little bit of $ and if im not going to notice the $800 difference then I can go coilover at a later date... but you are right i do need to and would like to ride in a car with coils.

dont get me wrong, springs are a huge inprovement and look great. it is just that the ride coilovers give you is so much more precise, you can adjust your ride height however you like and if you get coilovers with dampening adjustment you can adjust how soft or harsh your ride is depending on your situation.
