Are you tired of the fight?

Lynda, I tried that for a time as CO. It is very time consuming and then both sides are still upset and the fight often breaks out again a few weeks or months later. I'm sure you have seen that happen in the past.
Why do we have to have public fights at all? Why do non-combatants need to send PMs to try to stop others from fighting? And if the people can fight in public, is it really so bad that I complain about it in public? Maybe if people knew that the rest of the community is not entertained by the fighting, there would be less of it.
But maybe I'm wrong. I know some people are probably entertained by the public fights. If people want the public fights, they can have them and I'll shut up. I'd like to know what others think about it. We have had a lot of new members over the years. Maybe the personality of the forum has changed and I'm the one who is out of touch.

I get a rise out of the drama.
I bet for every one guy like me who enjoys it though, there are five who don't and probably shy away from the community because of it.

I agree with Bill . If something was posted in public I address it in public for all to know what is going on .
Lets call it over and start fresh . Lets set a goal of no Drama for one month and see how it goes from there . There is plenty of things to talk about and plenty of advice and different opinions . If the advice is wrong from either side , I ask that it is maturity explained and discussed . No reason for name calling or insults

Several people have told me that they beleive this problem was resolved at some point on Saturday. In the interest of avoiding any renewal of hostilities, I will close this thread. I'm sure that will cause another controversey.
