I can't really disagree with you. They often play back to back games that require travel during the regular season. If one goes extra innings, that is just the luck of the draw. Still, there didn't seem to be any need to start on Wednesday, especailly since they are off tonight. In the end, a team will do what is in its best interest. That is why the league should exert some influence on the schedule. I don't think the Twins can beat the Yankees, but it makes sense to give them a fair shot.

I see what your saying but I think if any team was in their shoes they would have done the exact same thing. I know if I was in their shoes I would have.
Why would anyone want to wait one more day and have to play back to back games instead of playing on the day they originally wanted and then have 1 day off between games?
It's not really taking advantage or anything I am sure they intended to play on Wednesday all along and it just so happened that the twins needed a 1 game playoff to get there..

Yeah it's too bad. But from the look of things wouldn't have been much of a series.
