Yes, and i know that is the most likely outcome. But after this series, I'm not taking anything for granted. Sox need to start winning. Even if they back their way into the post season, this team really needs to pick it up a notch or two or it will be a single series appearance.

Kind of a cheap shot scheduling the first game the day after the Twins went 12 innings in Minneapolis, don't you think? I guess in this day and age, people take every advantage, but in my opinion, that was not a "head held high" moment for the Yankees. I know Girrardi said they did it to give his bull pen a rest between games, but to me it looks like it was scheduled to screw the Twins. IMHO, the league should have stepped in and said "schedule it any time you want starting on Thursday."

Well the whole season is basically played back to back games. They didn't win in the regular season and needed one more game to get into the playoffs. I'm sure that is the day the Yankees had planned to play and no need to change that since a team needed a playoff just to make it in. That doesn't concern the Yankees really.
