Yankees VS Roid Sox '09 season chat

Yes I would!
It took me a while to like Damon but he earned respect and after a couple years grew to like him.
Even if I never liked the player like say Ukilas or however you spell it came to the Yankees I wouldn't like him probably ever but I would still root for him and the team since I like the team.

I was switching back and forth. Becket seemed to be pitching a lot of balls right in the zone. Although Heidecki did a good job reaching up and out to hit one out. Bottom of the 9th. Sox have three outs left.

2 out of 3 not bad. Some over all bad pitching most of the series. CC was pretty good tonight though. Couple errors gave a couple of those runs I believe.
Was thinking tonight would be a pitching battle though.

Here's a question for both sides, would you continue to be a fan of your
respective team if they signed one of the more hated players from the
opposing team to your team?
For example, if the Red Sox ever signed A-ROID or Posada or Jeter I
would no longer watch them because they are and will always be the enemy.

A true fan will appreciate the player for his talent and how he helps the team.
That being said, I'm glad Manny went to the west coast.

It took me awhile to get used to Damon and Clemons in pinstripes too...

I haven't seen him play in a while but when he was on the sox playing the yankees i remember two plays... may have been in the same game.
Manny makes a catch in left, continues to take like 5 more strides and run into the wall, like holy sh*t he ran into the wall...
My other fave was when he was running home and as he rounded third he puts his hand up and knocks his helmet off, kinda hard to notice it but to the naked eye you're saying wow he runs o fast that his helmet came off... and cool he has a rag on his head...
The days of the same players on the same team for decades are over... too bad. Hall of famers have to figure out what team to go in on... same for football... Farve??!! Greenbay hates him for retireing and coming back... anywho... if a player is good for the team he's accepted... Manny is too distracting... Jeter could play for boston but somone up there would shoot him first J/K
I walked into Joes all american in Boston during the summer, we needed a table and i put my name on the waitlist... said it was Jeter... girl just looked at me and said really? i said yeah why and gave her one of these They actually called my name and man you could hear a pin drop...
