Yes I guess I will have fresh tires for the Mohawk run. Just wish I could of finished this year on these tires and buy new rubber for spring.

Yeah only 15,XXX in 3 years. Its not being whipped its that I don't even take it out much because of the little guy. Since I drop-off/pick-up JP at Daycare. I am stuck with my winter beater. Which I just replaced recently from a 90 Mazda B2600 to a 02 Nissan Frontier. Plus it was always and continue to be a garage queen only taken out on weekends.

WOW, Lainey you got 18,XXX on your tires!

Well anyway the tires will be at the house today.

Yep. 18K on our '04 . We're off and about any chance we get. No garage queen for us. (we have no garage anyway).

Rick did not take driving lessons from Max or Scott, so we got a bit more mileage than some on the tires.

He got that tire squealing thing out of his system a few years before turning Vintage. I drive it too, but I'm more like "Miss Daisy".

I guess the tires on the 04's have a bit longer shelf life than the earlier models. Though Rick was at the dealers once and some woman was complaining about her tires with 10K needing to be replaced. She was of Vintage age, so the bet was her younger son was leaving some rubber on the roads.

Well the tires are in from tirerack. I have them in the truck tomorrow to get mounted on the wheels tomorrow.

The thing that kills me is that the rear tire doesn't even fit in the trunk. It would suck if I had to actually remove the tire and put the spare on in the highway in some far off place.

Oh well can of fix-a-flat and portable compressor in the car from now on! There are kits now that I've seen at the auto parts store where it comes with a can of fix-a-flat and a small compressor. Good to keep in the trunk.

Mind you I only have 15,XXX miles on the car with original tires. I still had about 1/16 left on the inner tire indicator. But my car is a 2002.

NP! I made sure I put Black Magic on the tires. Waxed the wheels in and out. Oh and even made sure I sprayed CD2 detail spray on the undercarriage. I'll be good and greasy for the Mohawk.

HEY THOMAS!!! Lets do a GREASY TIRE CONTEST!
