Mark, this is not directed to you as it is posted after your post.'
If anyone is a baseball fan and watched last nights game in a neutral manner meaning you dont care which team wins. Than you surely had to have fully enjoyed it. It was a great game with some very unusual errors and strategy.
I fully enjoyed watching it and I dont care who wins the teams are evenly matched.

In most sports, once my team is out I don't really care who wins or loses so
I don't bother watching it because part of the appeal for me is actually
rooting for a particular team.
There are of course, exceptions to this rules. I ALWAYS want the Yankees,
Colts, Cowboys and Canadiens to lose. If these teams are on tv, I'll check
periodically to see if they're losing and if they are, I'll watch.

I can understand starting late, it was a rain delay, and those things happen. What actually DOES piss me off is that the official start time for EVERY game in this World Series is nominally 8:00 PM. First pitch of Game 1 and Game 2 was thrown at 8:38 PM.
For 2 teams that are both in the Eastern time zone, that's ridiculous. Not a big deal on a weekend, but it's just plain stupid overall. If the game started at 7 (actual start) then EVERYONE could see the end of it, which is the important part. I'm just not as interested in watching if I'm going to have to wait 'til tomorrow to find out how it ends.
I'm a Yankees fan, but I have always liked watching post season baseball, regardless of their participation. Because the intensity is higher, and the teams are the best of that season, and you get good games. This season, I've missed WAY too many excellent games. I missed the end of that Red Sox comeback, and I've missed the end of ALL the world series games this year. Just annoys me, if you couldn't tell.

I hope the Rays take it away. they have the second lowest payroll in baseball and are mostly new guys. I would of course rather see the Sox in their place, but these guys play their hearts out every game.
