Anyone else stuck working on the holiday, today?

I know, if I'm posting here, I'm not working but I gotta be here, so that has to count for something.

Can't see why some companies insist on opening. I remember the days of 10+ holidays a year! NO more.

Lots of my vendors are closed, I can't buy material. No mail. Won't get any bills or checks. If I had checks, can't deposit them cause the bank is closed. If I prepare invoices, again there is no mail service, so the bills won't get anywhere by tomorrow.

Productivity in the shop is probably minimal as most of the guys wives have the day off and no one sees the sense of being here as it's a bit of a slow season right now.

The boss is in Florida on vacation.

Sort of. I'm working at home. My meeting in NYC got cancelled and didn't feel like driving into Boston.

i work at home everyday, but the drawback to that is that i seem to work EVERY DAY

Office is closed today but I went in for a full day. I was the only one there on the whole floor.

I always like to go in on the lesser holidays. Takes 4 hours to do the stuff that typically takes 8 hours to do on a normal day. Save those hours for days that I absolutely feel like shiet and don't want to go in.
