women don't want to listen
I have a friend, who I considered a good friend and she met some guy and they went out once. She said she wasn't interested and only wants to be friends with him. He invites her to his place so he can make dinner for her. She says yes.
I tell her, you know what you're getting yourself into right?? Everyone here knows what she's getting herself into. She says no, he's just making me dinner. Which I laugh at and continue to explain that a "second date" at his house means boots are knocking. So of course she cancels and uses me as an excuse!
Needless to say I'm not talking to her anymore.

Geeze is she like 16 and doesn't know about the birds and bees? Will she go to Steve's house for dinner?
And just a word of defense for my "species"... most PEOPLE in general do NOT listen when you tell them something they do NOT want to hear

the only reason I know this is because I know the guy she was going out with and he confronted me with it. At least I ironed things out with him.
my favorite is that I told her specificly NOT to mention my name.

So, it's been a while since I dated. SECOND date cooking dinner means boots knocking?
What happened to the third date rule? Does the cooking at his place throw out the third date rule?
And honestly are there really any rules?

A dinner date at someone's house is an opportunity for the host to really show that he is a gentleman and expects nothing more than good company. If it develops to more it would have to be mutual.
Dinner at a friends house does not mean I will try to have sex with them. So I am safe to be invited........
