Tony, Lainey said S##T happens. Not, " that it happens more to girls than boys"
It would appear I've been mis quoted.
I love this thread!

Even though we've only been dating a few months, my girlfriend realizes that I love my car and that it's one of my favorite possesions. So, she wouldn't dream of asking to borrow it even if she knew how to drive manual.
Next time your wife asks to drive the S ask her if you can wear her favorite pair of shoes out on the town. Tell her "don't worry. There are several thousand shoe repair shops in the US if I should damage or stretch out your shoes they can be repaired easily."

I drive the S most of the time, but when I need the Subaru, she drives the S. We've been driving front wheel or all wheel drive since 1975, so I just made sure she was comfortable with the different handling and the lower lip than we'd been used to and she's fine.

I'm not sure that's a good comparison, but it made me laugh.

good thing Tracie doesn't drive manual trans. I don't have this problem. My beater truck is also manual trans. So she's pretty much relegated to the accord, which is hers anyway.
Just tell her your concerns and only let her get behind the wheel with you on the passenger side.
Don't let her drive it alone or else she may come home with more than a scrap on the lip. Probably with new boy toy!
