If you know who did it then i say get the cops on them, i can't imagine it would be too difficult to place each one of them at your car on given night and show that their keys make that type of scratch.

It's a lot more difficult than you'd think...

Kids stick up for eachother, whether it means lying on the stands or whatever it takes. Having been put in a situation where i was accused by the perpetrator and all his friends placed me at the scene, you're right it is difficult. But have you washed your car yet? On a well maintained car i imagine fingerprints would match fairly quickly.

Very sorry to hear about your car. It is a shame there are people like that, who just cannot stand to see someone else with something better then what they have. It does not matter how careful you are, the idiots will do stupid things.

I like the idea of a custom color, hell if you have to do the entire car you should do something that you like.

My sympathy to your baby.

Well the car went into the shop yesterday morning to get repaired and repainted. Insurance wouldn't let me get another color, but it's all good, i'm happy with my silver.

i can find an upside here somewhere.... ah yes here it is.
since they keyed everything at least the body shop won't have a hard time trying to color match the new paint with the old silver. It will all be fresh.

Just remember it's a lot worse then it looks.
Good news is that they said it should be fixed by this wednesday or thursday
