I'll take other pics tonight.I just wanted to see what the camera could do, and I wanted to try uploading the pics to my computer, which I did using Google/Picasa.
Pretty clear pic, IMO. Color of the wall is off though....

Taken with older 6 megapixel Olympus at next to highest resolution
With the Nikon on auto settting, just did some cropping, not sure what to do about the yellow eyes.
Used one of the auto settings, for portrait as well as Macro setting, no cropping
I really like the camera, but I'm old fashioned, I still like the option of a view finder. It just feels weird taking pics without the view finder. If this camera had one, maybe I'd buy another one just for me.

The pic of the cat was taken in the hallway....lousy light. That may have something to do with it....I didn't bother to turn on the overhead light.
All in all though, I think it's a decent camera, and the granddaughter will be pleased.
