I stop driving mine when the temps drop below 50 consistently.

I don't stop driving mine. I do drive it less, however. I have snow tires for it, and I will typically only bring it out on dry days, no matter how cold. So I don't do anything to 'hibernate' it, nor do I change insurance. There are plenty of cold winter days when it's still sunny and the roads are clear, so I'll take it out then.
