wheel bearing
ok so this past weekend i noticed a grinding sound coming from one of my driver side wheels..
took apart the brakes, assuming a pad went, or just perhaps there was a piece of rust stuck in there.... nope, brakes are fine with plenty of meat left
my next thought, wheel bearing?
it makes no noise if taking a left turn or going straight, but it sounds like a scraping sound if i take a right hand turn
would this be a wheel bearing issue or maybe an axle issue?
any idea of how expensive it would be to take care of it or somewhere local in northern CT or western mass to have it fixed??
thanks in advance

Is this still an issue? I got my wheel bearing replaced along with the Hub. All better now and I only get clicks out of one side of my car now. Probably due to the fact that the HUB was replaced. I think those splines have a gap in them after a while. Plus we really hammered on that big bolt!

it should be all set as of tonight.....
problem lies in the front brakes..... upon further inspection it wasnt the bearing, just a crappy set of pads put on prior to my owning the car
how much was it to replace the bearing and the hub?

Rear Bearing and hub I think totaled 150 bucks? Something about there or less. Hardtopguy's site I went through. Install is a pain in the tail and you need a press to get these out! They are in there good and tight!!!! Plus what ever labor is associated with it.
I have a 100K 7 year warr. So I called it in and really helped out with the funding of the deal.
That warrantee was the best investment I made for that car......I don't care what you say about warrantees this one paid for itself a few times over now!
