I get up at 6:30 and get to work around 7:45. From 6:30 to 7:00, I just check on s2ki, news, etc on my laptop. If I have food in the house, I also eat in that time. At 7:00 I jump in the shower, shave, brush my teeth, get dressed. I'm out the door a little before 7:30.

19 minutes is barely enough time for a good shower and getting dressed
Another reason I would have trouble with a "real job" is having a set schedule. Somedays I wake up when the sun comes up (5?) and somedays it's more like 7.
I only set the alarm when I have something specific to do early on (like track days being up at 5).
I do try to keep on somewhat of a regular schedule just because the rest of the world does.

The alarm is set for 5:10 a.m. Mon-Sat and I'm out of bed before 5:20.
The alarm is set for 6:00 a.m. Sun and I'm out of bed by 6:15.
Mon-Fri I like to be out of the house by 7:00, work is only about 10 miles away and I like to get in early, official start time is 8:30.
Sat I'm up at the same time because it is MY DAY, and I'm not wasting it by sleeping.
Sun is Mom & Dad's day, so I have to get up so I can be out there by 8:30 for breakfast.
Of course the entire schedule can go right out the window if Ganzo is hungry. If he wakes me up before the alarm goes off I just get up because I'm one of those people that once woken up, I just can't roll back over and go to sleep.

Ganzo's trick is to just walk across me, and let me just say, a 20-pound cat walkiung across you neck is a real eye opener...
