Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival 9/11
I don't know if this has been posted in NE yet, I looked through the thread listings
and couldn't find it...oh well if it has been posted already, shoot me.
This is an awesome weekend! A festival that has only 2 seater open top
roadsters from all decades on display and in action!
The tour on Friday includes 2 parade laps along the original Watkins Glen
street course, which is lined with people watching us go by, very cool! Plus,
you get premium parking right downtown in the middle of all the action after
the tour.
Saturday they have vintage roadsters running at the new WG circuit and
you would have full access to the garages and you can actually park in the
infield.
Here's the link to the main page:

Check it out! I've already signed up and would love to have some NE folks
caravan to it with me!
If you're interested, you should sign up soon...they limit it to 130 cars and
when I registered this morning, they were already over 100.
George, could you add this event to the 2009 drives and meets sticky? Thanks.

Thanks Mark. If anyone is interested in learning more you can visit the Festival web site

We had 17 S2000s last year. Would love to have more this year and beat the Miata folks!

Quote from Doug (Triple-H, one of the organizers):
"Space is almost closed out, act now if interested!!!"
I can't believe I'm going to be the only NE representative!

Doh! Sorry Mark I may be driving over Thursday night after work this year if I still have time for a part time job by September. If so, we can figure out a meeting spot somewhere along the way.
