Default visiting Boston for Business

Hello everyone, I will be going to Boston for a one day conference at the Westin Copley Place next week. I will be driving in from Springfield via I90. The conference will start at 8:30am and end at 5:30pm. Since I have never been to Boston, I like to know how is the traffice around 8:00 am near by that hotel. What is it like around there? Safe to park my car there??? Heehee. Where is the best place to park my car near by?

Thanks!

Hi super leo!

Well... I'm going to assume that you are going to be traveling down the Mass Pike into Boston. Just re-read your post... and yup you are... At 8:00 in the morning it could be very busy... or traffic could flow pretty good. It is so hard to tell... BUT... I would plan for the worst.

Traffic usually starts around Exit 12/13 in between the Framingham and Natick exits.... and then continue until the Weston Tolls. After the tolls... traffic will open up until the Newton Exit... THEN... be fine until the Alston/Brighton tolls. BUT... again... it is hard to tell... if there is one person pulled over (mechanical failure or traffic violation) traffic will be backed up a good mile or two.

Well... this is only my opinion... I hope someone else can give a better idea.

Have fun at your conference!

OH... At 5:30 till about 7:00PM... expect to be held up in traffic all the way until Exit 12 (Framingham)... that I can pretty much guarantee
