You get it at a GM dealer of course.
It is called GM Syncromesh Friction Modified.
Personally I run the new Honda MTF and it has been great. Most people report bad feeling out of the GM stuff after 7k+.

I've got a very crunchy 1-2 shift usually for the first 5 minutes of driving... if i don't conciously shift more slowly you'll hear me grind'em till I find'em. I might switch to the GM stuff as well to see if it helps.

Is there a reason why your changing it or is it just due to be changed?

I too give the latest version of the Honda MTF the
I have used the original stuff and noticed the shifter feeling a bit notchy rather soon after the fluid change The last time I used the newer MTF and my impresion was it was much, much longer before the notchy feeling returned.
On the rear dif though I use Mobil1 75-90W Gear Oil.

Tommi, I changed to the GM synchromesh about 20k ago. It felt great for about 5k miles and then nlike every other domestic labeled product fell apart.
I am going to change to the new MTF in a couple weeks when I need my next oil change too. I have heard nothing but good stuff about it.

I used the GM SMFM exclusively since my car was one year old. I recently switched to the NEW Honda MTF. I like it a lot and think it feels better than the GM stuff. I'll stay with that now.

How can you tell if you are getting the "new" Honda MTF if you
go to a dealer and buy it? Is it possible dealers would liquidate
their "old" stuff before selling the "new" stuff?
