Default For Trade: brand new MY05 17

As some of you know, I am trading in my S for an MY05 likely between end of April and early May. I am keeping my Volk wheels for the new car so I need a stock 16

Yup. Naturally, it is a better deal for those who have pretty worn tires.

The 17" set go for $1,400 even with 3k on the tires, in the for sale forum... and still getting bites.

ben I have a set in my basement, but two problems, the tread especially on the rears is pretty much complete crap front innners are gone too but its a bit less visable (I assume you would want enough so they don't give you some "needs tires gonna be an extra $600 garbage) and I'd rather spend more like trade + 800ish, i do have a better set on the car now (in NH) that were %20 fronts, rears new last spring(%60+?), those are worth more to me cause of the tire life,

How about this...
you buy my stock 00 wheels with new SO-2's (95% tread left) and turn around and sell your 17's later ? You'd probably get more $ for brand new 05 17"s this way. Just a thought.

That would work, but trading in S-02's w/ 95% tread seems to be a waste.

I know I can get between $1,400 - 1,500 for the new set. Or I could even save the 17" tires for myself as I'll need a new set very shortly.
